England's chase got off to a good start as Phil Salt announced his return to form with a 17-run opening over against Mohammed Shami. However, apart from him, no English batter could spend time on the wicket. Salt smashed 55 off 23 balls before getting dismissed in the seventh over as the fifth wicket. After that, England lost their last five wickets for just 15 runs in 20 balls.
After his batting exploits, Sharma had a good time with the ball as well as he took the wickets of Carse and Jamie Overton in the only over he bowled. Shami finished with three wickets for India while Dube and Varun Chakravarthy also got two wickets each.
